HR Project Manager

Our client is seeking an HR Project Managerfor a six month contract. This role is responsible for managing HR-related special projects, spanning a broad range of policies, processes, programs, and initiatives, and offering direct HR generalist support to assigned business units.
This is a hybrid role in Jersey City, NJ.
Responsibilities:
- Oversees HR projects, including creating an HR Dashboard, reviewing contracts, updating the employee handbook, and coordinating presentations. Continuously evaluates and improves HR programs, addressing any gaps.
- Ensures quality and alignment of all projects with HR goals, driving continuous improvement.
- Manages various HR Generalist duties, including reviewing and updating HR policies to align with legal requirements and foster a positive culture, collaborating with HRBPs on employee communications, leading or supporting employee events, maintaining job descriptions, conducting exit interviews, onboarding new hires, keeping accurate HR records, and fostering teamwork within HR and the company.
- Lead other special projects as assigned.
- Maintain accurate, auditable HR records.
- Contribute to cohesiveness and teamwork within HR and the company at large in the performance of all duties.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources or a related field; Master’s Degree preferred.
- Must be at the 5-8 year mark of progressive Human Resources experience in multiple functions (staffing, compensation, etc.). Consulting experience or HR experience in a project-based role is required.
- Proven knowledge of broad HR processes, programs, policies, and systems, preferably from a regulated industry.
- Strong analytical skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Good project management and multitasking skills; ability to juggle multiple projects and meet deadlines.
- Strong interpersonal skills; effectively collaborates with colleagues in HR and other functional areas, and with external vendors, to achieve goals.
- Advanced MS Office skills.
