Shift: 3:00 PM - 11:30 PM

Experience:

• 24 months of role experience is required.

• 24 months of Medical Surgical / Telemetry Unit experience is required.

• 12 months of travel experience is required.

• 3 months of experience with Epic is required.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have a Massachusetts license in hand at the time of application.

• This role will require floating to multiple units

• Candidates must live at least 50 miles away from this facility in order to be considered a traveler when applying for this role.

• COVID vaccination required for onboarding. Declinations not accepted.

• COVID booster required for onboarding. Declinations not accepted.

• Flu vaccination required for onboarding. Declinations not accepted.

Additional Details:

Seasonal Flu Vaccine is required if working during flu season (September 15-April 30th).

Must be fully vaccinated (exemptions are reviewed on a very limited basis).

No Block Scheduling for any Travelers at Salem.

Every other weekend.

Skill Sets Required: Must be able to read Tele strips, knowledge of cardiac drips. Nursing care for patients post cardiac catheterization and pacemaker is preferred but not required.

Patients may be admitted from the ED, transferred from other units within the hospital or directly admitted by a physician. Routinely see patients on Cardizem drips, Nitroglycerin drips, Lasix drips and Heparin drips. Provide care for post-Pacemaker and post-Cardiac Cath Lab patients both with and without interventions. NSTEMI patients.

Patient Population: CHF, Atrial Fibrillation, Pulmonary Embolus and Pneumonia. We also see patients with ETOH, Dementia with Cardiac co-morbidities and surgical patients when necessary.

Must be Telemetry certified.
