Beacon Recycling, provider of scrap metal management, is seeking a Purchasing Manager to join their team in Muskegon, MI.
If you have 3+ years of Purchasing or Supply Chain Management experience and a 4-year degree OR 5+ years of purchasing or supply chain management experience, this is an opportunity you need to explore

- Competitive Pay: Earn up $85,000 a year based upon experience-additionally, you have bonus potential of earning upwards of 5-10% each year based on company and personal performance, evaluated 2x/year during performance reviews.

- Evaluate current purchasing activities and processes throughout the company to then work with the Leadership Team to develop a comprehensive purchasing program that you will manage
- Work within established budgets for all purchases including CAPEX projects
- Evaluate suppliers, create and maintain approved supplier list
- Negotiate contract terms, including price and delivery of goods and services
- Track and ensure timely delivery of orders
- Maintain updated records of purchases, deliveries, and invoices
- Establish, maintain and monitor stock levels and place orders as necessary
- Coordinate with various stakeholders (including ownership) as needed
- Create and maintain good relationships with key suppliers
- Resolve conflicts with delivery schedules, product defects, and parts inventory levels
- Track and report on supplier and vendor performance, as well as cost saving measures reached
