Reporting to the Senior Director of Finance, this position assists in all phases of the accounting cycle, including the production of various financial reports and monitoring related practices and procedures. The role is responsible for recording and analyzing transactions as well as preparing and disseminating multiple reports.

Location: This position is based in Louisville, Kentucky and allows for a hybrid work schedule.

Compensation and Benefits

$95,000.00/year - $110,000.00/year | Wages are negotiable depending on experience.

Essential Duties and Tasks
  • Supervise and direct accounts payable and accounts receivable functions and team members.
  • Manage the vendor compliance responsibilities - new vendor forms, collecting W-9s, insurance certificates during the Credit Application Approval process.
  • Ensure that submodules to the ERP system are accurately closed at the end of month and all end of month reports have been run and saved.
  • Run reports, balance and process month end close within software for A/P, A/R, and cashbook modules. Serve as primary backup for A/P and A/R.
  • Manage Fixed Assets in Sage.
  • Administer account activities for Federal Appropriation. Develop a strong working relationship with trustees across all states.
  • Research and identify posting issues with the general ledger and advise and / or make necessary corrections.
  • Direct the management of banking activities such as ACH, Wires, Credit Cards, Travel Card Programs, and currency exchanges as well as the reconciliation of banking accounts and advise of opportunities to enhance banking activities.
  • Work closely with other team members to assist and ensure correct costing information for general and administrative and operations costs.
  • Make recommendations for changes as needed and ensure that company policies and procedures are followed and establish the proper techniques to discover and prevent fraud.
  • Lead or participate in various teams throughout the organization.
  • Process monthly invoices from various systems for entry into financial software. Process and coordinate related business unit transactions.
  • Complete monthly account reconciliation for various accounts.
  • Work cross functionally with all departments to ensure proper accounting of financial transactions.
  • Update and improve financial processes and procedures.
  • Complete other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications - Experience - Training
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
  • 5+ years’ experience in management.
  • 5+ years’ experience in accounting and/or financial analysis.

Working Conditions:
