How You Will Make An Impact
ThredUp is seeking a Sr. Compensation and People Analytics Analyst whois passionate about using data to keep our programs competitive, solve problems, deliver insights, tell stories and make an impact on employee experience and business outcomes. Reporting to the VP of People Operations & Total Rewards, you will focus on compensation and people data initiatives. As the owner of our people data, you will articulate and execute a clear vision and strategy for people analytics while also adding more rigor and efficiency to our compensation practices. You will share analytics and insights that are actionable, and valuable to move the business forward. Your insights will touch all areas of the employee lifecycle - employee selection, onboarding, performance, retention, growth, compensation and offboarding.
In This Role You’ll Get To:
Compensation:
- Support the VP, People Operations and Total Rewards in our bi-annual market reviews.
- Manage survey participation data inputs. Own benchmarking of new roles.
- Work on compensation related projects which could include equity program design, job architecture, total reward statements and more
- Stay current on trends in hourly pay and analyze competitiveness and effectiveness of our programs. Evaluate data sources that are best suited for our population.
People Analytics:
- Identify key business challenges and enable People and business leaders to make data driven decisions from the insights you uncover.
- Create and execute a short and long-term roadmap for people analytics. Establish consistent methodology and alignment on data collection, definitions, metrics, and reporting across our systems and teams.
- Manage regular reporting on headcount, turnover, and talent acquisition metrics. Respond to data requests by delivering not just the numbers but the insightful stories contained within. Build compelling stories to help People Team and business leaders make optimal decisions.
- Model and measure cost of potential future programs as well as effectiveness of current people programs and initiatives.
- Design, execute, and analyze employee surveys and responses, with a strong ability to translate results into actionable insights to improve employee experience.
What We’re Looking For:
- 5+ years of experience combined in people analytics and compensation
- Strong understanding of the employee lifecycle from recruiting, onboarding, performance management, compensation cycles to offboarding.
- Experience with large-scale data management, data structures, and data schemas (i.e., relational database structures)
- Strong analytic skills with the ability to extract, collect, organize, analyze and interpret trends or patterns in complex data sets
- Passionate about AI and emerging technologies that empower the People Team to drive innovation and find efficiencies
- Experience building tables in a cloud based solution and SQL preferred
- Compensation analysis experience and survey submission experience a plus
- Workday experience preferred
At ThredUp, your base pay is one part of your total compensation package. This role pays between $120,000 and $155,000, and your actual base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
Many ThredUp employees also have the opportunity to own shares of ThredUp stock, ThredUp employees are eligible for discretionary restricted stock unit awards, as well as a discount when purchasing ThredUp stock if voluntarily participating in ThredUp’s Employee Stock Purchase Plan. Subject to eligibility requirements, you’ll also receive other benefits: Comprehensive medical & dental coverage, vision, 401k, life and disability insurance.
This role is not eligible for visa sponsorship.
