Own your own future.

️‍About Us

We're building the future of space access by designing and delivering high-performance satellite platforms that scale from early demonstration missions to full constellations. Our integrated bus-and-payload approach gives customers a faster, more reliable path from concept to orbit. If you're passionate about precision engineering and want your work to fly (literally), we'd love to meet you.

Role Overview

As an AWS Infrastructure Engineer, you'll help support the cloud platform behind Agent Studio, the internal AI agent platform the rest of Eclipse designs, simulates, and builds on. The stack is AWS: a Kubernetes platform on EKS running a mix of spot and on-demand capacity, services deployed with Helm, Linux EC2 hosts for our cloud editors and CI runners, and an observability stack built on OpenTelemetry. Everything is defined in Terraform (infrastructure as code) across various environments.

This is a hands-on infrastructure role with a software engineering mindset. You'll maintain the Linux images our editor and runner hosts boot from, run our Kubernetes clusters (the main EKS cluster and the lightweight k3s clusters we provide to our AI agents) and the networking around them, support the GitHub Actions runner fleet our CI depends on, and extend our OpenTelemetry pipelines so we can see what the platform is doing. You'll also build the skills and services that let our AI agents provision, inspect, and monitor that infrastructure themselves, so the platform gets easier to operate as it grows rather than harder.

Aerospace experience is not required. We're looking for engineers who have run real AWS environments in production, treat infrastructure as code as a habit rather than a project, and want to see their work adopted by a small, fast-moving team within days.

Responsibilities

  • Support our Terraform codebase end to end: infrastructure and application stacks, remote state, reusable modules, and the deploy pipelines that apply them across dev and prod
  • Build, harden, and maintain the Linux machine images for our editor, runner, and proxy hosts, with automated image builds and a clear patch cadence
  • Administer and evolve the core AWS estate: VPC networking, EC2, EKS, IAM, SQS, SNS, S3, ECR, Route53, and CloudWatch
  • Support the Kubernetes platform: EKS cluster and addon upgrades, node autoscaling across spot and on-demand capacity, ingress, certificates, secrets integration, and GPU node support, plus the k3s clusters we provide to our AI agents
  • Operate stateful services on Kubernetes, including Postgres and our identity provider, with backup, restore, and upgrade procedures you've actually rehearsed
  • Own GitHub CI/CD infrastructure: reusable deploy workflows, container build caching, image scanning, and our self-hosted EC2 runner fleet, including runner autoscaling and idle shutdown
  • Stand up and operate custom runners for Claude Code and other AI agents so they can execute jobs on our infrastructure safely and with the right isolation
  • Extend our observability stack and OpenTelemetry collectors so infrastructure signals from EKS, EC2, and managed services land next to application telemetry
  • Design skills and services that let our AI agents provision, inspect, and monitor infrastructure through well-defined tools
  • Support our security and compliance posture: IAM least privilege, secrets handling, network segmentation, image scanning, audit logging, and readiness for export-controlled workloads
  • Monitor & reduce cloud cost: spot-first capacity strategy, budgets and alerting, tagging, Savings Plans and reserved capacity, scale-down of idle stacks, and spend reporting the team actually reads
  • Write the runbooks, tests, and documentation that let the rest of the team trust the platform without asking you

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience
  • Production experience running AWS environments, including VPC networking, EC2, EKS, IAM, SQS, and SNS
  • Pro
