As an Intensive Care Nurse, you are no stranger to the challenges and opportunities of civilian practice.

Intensive Care Nurses provide specialized care to patients in the intensive care units of a hospital that treat the most severely ill or injured patients, caring for the daily needs of those who are the most vulnerable.

When you join the Navy Nurse Corps, you'll develop strong peer-to-peer relationships with Navy Physicians-along with the respect and honor that accompany the Navy uniform. You'll have the opportunity to collaborate with surgeons, cardiologists and fellow nurses as colleagues and equals. And in addition to the honor of becoming an Officer in the Navy Medical Corps, you'll be eligible to receive a $100,000 bonus as an investment in your talents.

As a full-time Nurse Corps Officer, you'll

• Apply leading-edge medical advances at world-class hospitals

• Utilize some of the most advanced technology on the planet, like Radio Frequency Identification

• Work at the best military nursing facilities on shore, at sea and in the field

• Seize opportunities to educate, lead and shape policy within Navy Health Care

• Instruct Hospital Corpsmen on how to provide quality patient care

In addition to a competitive salary, full-time roles may qualify for a one-time sign-on bonus of up to $100K and other financial incentives. You can choose from sought-after specialties: study to become a nurse practitioner, a nurse anesthetist or even attend the famed Naval School of Health Sciences in Bethesda, MD.

Requirements:

To perform effectively in this position, critical care professionals require specialized training.

Must be a U.S. citizen, licensed to practice and meet our physical, legal, security screening, and credential requirements.

Active Duty candidates must be commissioned by age 42.
