SSHO - VA/USACE Hospital Projects

Position Overview
The SSHO will be responsible for ensuring compliance with federal safety and health regulations on construction sites. They will work closely with the project team to identify and mitigate potential safety hazards and promote a safe work environment. The ideal candidate will have experience in federal construction projects and have their EM 385 1-1.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor and enforce compliance with federal safety and health regulations on construction sites
- Conduct site inspections and audits to identify potential safety hazards and provide recommendations for corrective actions
- Develop and implement safety policies and procedures in accordance with EM 385 1-1 regulations
- Provide safety training and education to project team members and subcontractors
- Maintain accurate records of safety inspections, incidents, and training sessions
- Collaborate with project management to develop and implement emergency response plans
- Coordinate with government agencies such as USACE, NAVFAC, and VA Hospital to ensure compliance with their specific safety regulations
- Conduct accident investigations and provide reports with recommendations for prevention
- 3+ years of experience as SSHO on Federal Projects
- Must have USACE and VA Hospital project experience
- Must have EM 385 1-1 certification
- Salary 95-115K depending on experience
- Company vehicle with gas card or vehicle allowance
