APN Healthcare Solutions is urgently hiring multiple *Phlebotomists *for our client in *Richland, Washington *for a 13 week contract with a high possibility of extension.

*Position Title:* Phlebotomist
*Pay Rate: UP TO* $40/hr (Traveler will qualify for stipend as well)
*Work Location: *Richland, Washington available
*Shift:* Nights 40 hr/Shift
*Hours/day:* 10hrs Day
*Contract Duration:* 13 weeks
*Certification Requirement:* BLS, MA-P

*Experience: *Must have 2+ years inpatient phlebotomy experience with experience collecting babies and pediatrics. Must have capillary and venous collection experience.

Job Title: Inpatient Phlebotomist

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Inpatient Phlebotomist to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing blood draws and collecting specimens from hospitalized patients while ensuring a positive patient experience. This role is crucial for supporting our clinical staff and contributing to accurate diagnostics and patient care.

Key Responsibilities:
* *Blood Collection:* Perform venipunctures and capillary punctures for blood draws, ensuring adherence to safety protocols and best practices.
* *Patient Interaction:* Communicate effectively with patients, explaining procedures and addressing any concerns to help ease anxiety.
* *Specimen Handling:* Label and prepare collected specimens for transport to the laboratory, ensuring proper documentation and chain of custody.
* *Collaboration:* Work closely with nursing staff and other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care and communicate relevant information.
* *Quality Control:* Maintain equipment and supplies, ensuring compliance with infection control protocols and laboratory standards.
* *Record Keeping:* Accurately document all procedures, patient interactions, and any complications or concerns in the electronic health record (EHR).
* *Training and Compliance:* Stay updated on phlebotomy techniques, safety regulations, and hospital policies; participate in ongoing training and professional development.
