Clinical Director

SUMMARY/PURPOSE:
The Clinical Director provides clinical and administrative oversight to assigned clinical staff who provide behavioral health services with a focus on evidence-based practice (EBPs). Behavioral health services delivered will support the permanency, safety, and well-being for children and youth involved in the child welfare contract. This position will champion the use of the program's identified EBPs while maintaining a partial caseload. The Clinical Director is responsible for quality client care by ensuring adherence to all applicable regulations and standards.
Requirements:MINIMUM EDUCATION & LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:
- Master's degree in Social Work, Psychology, Addictions Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy or Counseling from an accredited college or university.
- Clinical Certification; LSCSW, LCMFT, LCPC. LCP
- Licensed to practice in the State of Kansas at the independent practitioner level
MINIMUM EXPERIENCE & REQUIREMENTS:
- Must have experience in family-based services either through educational or work experience.
- Three years experience in clinical setting.
- Clinical management/supervision experience.
- Must be 21 years of age
- Must pass drug screen, MVR, KBI, Child Abuse and Neglect Central Registry Clearance check and Adult Registry check
- FBI Fingerprint
- Lifting requirements of 50 lbs.
- Must have valid driver's license, acceptable driving record and reliable transportation
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Provides individual supervision/coaching to assigned clinical staff
- Provides team supervision to staff to review cases and provide feedback on intervention and case conceptualization
- Champions the use of PMTO and other approved evidence based practices
- Ensures staff are working through their PMTO training and certification
- Willingness to become trained and certified in PMTO and other approved EBPs
- Maintains a partial caseload and completes specialized assessments
- Coordinates client care with other service providers, schools, case management teams, foster care staff, and adoption staff
- Assists assigned staff with meeting caseload and billable hours requirements
- Ensures quality documentation, reports, and billing is completed for services provided
- Conducts and reviews annual performance evaluations of staff
- Assesses and ensures staff competencies
- Provides clinical training and mentoring as requested
- Provides clinical support to Saint Francis Ministries Reintegration Foster Care and Adoption on-call system
- Travels to provide in person supervision to assigned staff within their home office setting
- Provides coverage when staff are unavailable
- Reports Unusual Incidents and/or Critical Incidents through appropriate Risk Management, clinical and safety channels
- Follows and adheres to all pertinent Saint Francis Ministries Standard Operating Procedures (SOP's), rules, personnel policies and procedures; related accreditation and licensure standards; and federal, state and local rules, statutes, regulations, and contractual terms
- Is knowledgeable of and follows all safety procedures.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

- Must have academic course work or demonstrate graduate-level competency in developmental psychology and abnormal psychology
- Must be conversant with the DSM-5
- Trained in trauma informed practice and incorporates knowledge in day to day practice
- Understanding of child and adolescent development
- Working knowledge and skills in Individual, Family, Group therapy techniques
- Understanding of the child welfare and state system
- Understanding of the behavioral health and state system
- Knowledge of SED youth and foster care population
- Knowledge of Family Systems with at-risk families
- Experience implementing evidence-based practices
- Leadership skills in developing a team approach with the staff team members assigned to provide service delivery
- Demonstrate effective written and verbal communication skills
- Must have knowledge of effective health service administration, management, and human resources management
- Demonstrate solid understanding of fiscal management practices
