The Heart and Vascular Center at McLaren Northern Michigan is recruiting an Interventional Cardiologist to join a team of innovative specialists in Petoskey, Michigan. Enjoy working with a dedicated group of Non-Invasive Cardiologists, Interventional Cardiologists, Electrophysiologists, and Cardiothoracic Surgeons in a tertiary setting. Practice in a collegial environment with a progressive group that strives to be the best in their profession. The ideal candidate will have a primary focus on coronary and peripheral interventions and must be board certified or board eligible in Interventional Cardiology. There is a shared call rotation of 1:4. Candidates with Structural experience or who have successfully completed a Structural fellowship will be strongly considered.

The Heart and Vascular specialists are actively engaged in on-site research and clinical trials while serving an expansive geographic area of northern Michigan.

Additional Features Include:

  • An evolving structural heart program including minimally invasive procedures such as TAVR, Mitraclip and the Watchman.
  • Advanced electrophysiology treatment options including cardiac ablations, arrhythmia device implantation, laser lead extraction, left atrial appendage occlusion procedures and medication therapy.
  • Innovative diagnostic techniques & advanced 3-D imaging modalities including mobile diagnostics available at outreach locations.
  • Outstanding specialty clinics include: Arrhythmia Clinic, Heart Failure Clinic and a Structural Heart Clinic

McLaren Northern Michigan is a 202-bed regional referral center located in Petoskey, serving residents in 22 counties across northern Lower Michigan and the eastern part of the Upper Peninsula. More than 230 physicians represent nearly all medical and surgical specialties, enabling full-service care with an emphasis on cardiology, cancer, orthopedics, and neurosciences. McLaren Northern Michigan has a network of primary care providers and specialty care clinics throughout the region, and an outpatient surgery center in Cheboygan. Petoskey is located on the shores of Lake Michigan's beautiful Little Traverse Bay in northwest, lower-Peninsula Michigan.
