Overview

The Accreditation and Regulatory Consultant assists in the evaluation, implementation, monitoring, and improvement of compliance with internal and external regulatory requirements and policies for the organization. This position works on a multi-disciplinary team and shares best practices among all areas.

Schedule: Monday-Friday (1st shift)

Fully on-site for the first 90 days, and then switch into a hybrid schedule (1 remote day)

Location: Central Campus

Responsibilities:

  1. Leads and manages surveys and continuous readiness activities.
  2. Maintains working knowledge of regulatory and accrediting body standards and rules.
  3. Prepares and presents regulatory updates to the Department as requested.
  4. Partners with hospital management to guide practice and operations with applicable regulations or standards.
  5. Acts as a consultant to the unit on all matters related to regulatory and accreditation (TJC, CMS, ODH, OMHAS) surveys.
  6. Partners with the unit on development, implementation, and monitoring of action plans.
  7. Leads or collaborates in work groups to build regulations into operations.

Qualifications:

Education:

  • Bachelor’s of Science or work experience in the field equivalent to a bachelor's required. Master’s Degree preferred.

Certifications:

  • Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality (CPHQ), certification preferred.

Skills:

  • Demonstrated planning, presentation, and project management skills required. Strong skill in promoting multidisciplinary collaboration.

Experience:

  • Minimum 2-3 years working in a hospital and experience with survey readiness and accreditation related activities.
