Family Counseling Associates realizes the strength of our practice is our exceptional staff. We support our clinicians in building a culture of values of innovation, professionalism, and healthy work/life balance. We are currently seeking a licensed psychologist for our Burlington, Massachusetts, center (opportunities also available in Danvers and Marlborough).

Clinicians can use telehealth 1-2 days a week if they are full-time. Additional days on-site are required.

As a Clinical Psychologist, you will treat a wide variety of mental health conditions that reflect the needs of our diverse patient population.

Primary Responsibilities:
  • Develop and coordinate a clinical treatment program for the diagnosis, treatment, or referral of patients presenting moderate to severe social or mental behavior problems
  • Involves patient and/or family in treatment planning as appropriate
  • Conducts individual, family or group therapy sessions based on ethical and medical necessity guidelines. Option to develop and provide time-limited psycho-educational groups or ongoing therapy groups
You'll be rewarded and recognized for your performance in an environment that will challenge you and give you clear direction on what it takes to succeed in your role as well as provide development for other roles you may be interested in.

Required Qualifications:
  • Clear and active Ph.D. or PsyD licensed in Massachusetts
  • 2+ years of experience providing direct psychotherapy services
  • Proven competent working with a wide range of clinical presentations
  • Proven ability to commute to the location in-person

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with children or adolescents
  • Experience with couples or family counseling
  • Experience with health psychology
  • Significant experience evaluating adults and/or children in an outpatient clinical setting
  • Knowledge and experience in providing neuropsychological, CBT, and other evidence-based interventions is highly valued
  • Comfortable using computers - Excel, Outlook, Athena RMS
  • Comfortable completing diagnostic assessments, general psychiatric testing, and providing direct therapy in an outpatient clinical setting
  • Proven to be self-motivated, ambitious, and able to quickly build rapport with clients
  • Proven ability to represent the practice in community presentations and lectures, if desired
  • Proven forming excellent provider-patient alliances and coordinating care with internal and external providers
