CETC is seeking an experienced Speech-Language Pathologist to provide assessments and treat clients with speech and hearing disorders. Key Functions:
  1. Develop a curriculum that can help build communication skills.
  2. Assess communication (speech and language) skills through screenings and evaluation.
  3. Complete comprehensive assessments in the area of need.
  4. Conduct therapy sessions in accordance with the individual’s plan of care and evaluation results.
  5. Contribute to the development of individual plans of care using a multidisciplinary approach.
  6. Responsible for the re-evaluation of classified patients as outlined in the state rules and regulations.
  7. Participate in meetings concerning individual patients when requested.
  8. Consult with the parents, administration, and other staff personnel.
  9. Work cooperatively with community agencies and the multi-disciplinary team concerned with the speech-language health of children.
  10. Facilitate patient growth and progress toward stated objectives of speech-language therapy.
  11. Identify patients at risk for later communication problems.
  12. Complete daily documentation of services and outcomes.
  13. Manage caseloads, services, and scheduling.
  14. Perform individual therapy based on client needs.
  15. Collaborate and consult with professionals, providers, families, and teachers.
  16. Provide services through teletherapy on various telemedicine platforms.
  17. Provide operational and administrative support to the Clinical Manager and leadership team.
Competencies:
  1. Knowledge of speech, language, fluency, voice, swallowing, and pragmatic language disorders.
  2. Excellent and effective oral communication and writing skills.
  3. Ability to meet federal and state regulations for licensure and certification.
  4. Strong time management and organizational skills.
  5. Ability to be flexible and creative.
  6. Strong diagnostic and therapeutic skills.
  7. Recognize the need to respond to culturally diverse communities.
  8. Understand, utilize, and remain abreast of best practices and therapy modalities within the field.
  9. Experience in evaluation, scoring, and interpreting assessments and screening measures.
Required Qualifications:
  1. Master’s degree or higher in Speech-Language Pathology.
  2. State of Maryland licensure and ASHA Certification in good standing.
  3. Experience in the field of speech-language pathology.
  4. Adaptable and flexible work schedule (e.g., evenings and Saturdays, if required).
  5. Pediatric experience preferred.
  6. 2+ years of teletherapy experience.
Working Conditions, Equipment, Physical Demands:

There is a reasonable expectation that employees in this position will not be exposed to blood-borne pathogens.

Physical Demands - Heavy work: Exerting up to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
