The Mobile Apps team at Apple creates mobile e-commerce and retail experiences through the Apple Store App, used by millions of Apple customers. By integrating revolutionary iOS technologies and high performance services, along with adopting the latest design standards, the Apple Store App sets the bar for iOS apps. In addition to the app, we also build the next generation of Apple’s engagement and communication with customers through Messaging Apps, powering the company’s official accounts on WeChat and iOS Message Apple. Description

The Mobile Apps team is looking for a Quality Engineer with strong technical, problem solving and communication skills to ensure the quality of applications that millions of customers use every day. Responsibilities include understanding and analyzing requirements along with creating and executing test plans and test cases. Advanced iOS experience is required to provide clear, concise information to Engineering teams. You’ll be interacting on a daily basis with teams that span across Apple including iOS software and hardware engineering, Apple Online Store and Apple Retail. We work in a fast-paced environment that relies heavily on strong communication and building partnerships between developers and interdepartmental QA teams.

Minimum Qualifications

  1. 5+ years of experience in testing
  2. Deep understanding of software QA methodologies & practices.
  3. Skilled at debugging, troubleshooting, applying analytical thinking skills to systematically assess project quality.
  4. Knowledge of Client/Server Architecture and mobile E-Commerce domain.
  5. Knowledge of test automation frameworks.
  6. MS/BS in Computer Science or equivalent experience

Key Qualifications

  1. iOS Mobile Application testing
  2. Proficient at balancing multiple efforts simultaneously and meeting strict deadlines.
  3. Ability to own quality for a complete functional area of an application or product.
  4. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  5. Experience working in global, cross-functional teams (QA and Engineering).
  6. Proven bug detection and regression skills.
  7. Easily adaptable in a dynamic, constantly evolving, and demanding environment.

Pay & Benefits

At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $136,300 and $205,500, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location. Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple’s discretionary employee stock programs. Apple employees are eligible for discretionary restricted stock unit awards, and can purchase Apple stock at a discount if voluntarily participating in Apple’s Employee Stock Purchase Plan. You’ll also receive benefits including: Comprehensive medical and dental coverage, retirement benefits, a range of discounted products and free services, and for formal education related to advancing your career at Apple, reimbursement for certain educational expenses — including tuition. Additionally, this role might be eligible for discretionary bonuses or commission payments as well as relocation.
