Our client, a leading Fortune 500 company in the Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) industry, is seeking a highly skilled Senior Azure Data Architect to lead their cloud data strategy and architecture initiatives. In this remote contract role, you will be responsible for designing scalable data solutions, overseeing data integration projects, and ensuring robust governance and security within the Azure ecosystem.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Architect and Implement scalable and efficient Azure data solutions, including Data Lakes, Synapse, and SQL databases.
  • Lead Cloud Migrations and Integrations by designing and executing cloud-based data migration strategies, ensuring smooth transitions and minimal disruption to business operations.
  • Ensure Data Governance, Compliance, and Security by implementing and maintaining data governance frameworks, enforcing compliance standards, and ensuring best practices in cloud security.
  • Collaborate with Cross-Functional Teams to understand business requirements and deliver insights-driven solutions, aligning data architecture with organizational goals.


Qualifications:

  • 8+ years of experience in data architecture, with 5+ years specializing in Azure services.
  • Strong expertise in Azure services, including but not limited to Azure Data Lake, Synapse, and SQL.
  • Proven experience with data governance frameworks, compliance standards, and cloud security best practices.
  • Exceptional leadership skills in driving data migrations and integration efforts.
  • Experience in the CPG sector is a plus but not required.
