Key Responsibilities

As a Med-Surg Registered Nurse, you will be responsible for providing care to adult patients with a wide range of medical conditions, typically following surgery or other treatments. Your duties will include:

  1. Managing patient care plans, including medication administration and monitoring vital signs
  2. Assisting in post-surgical care and monitoring patient recovery
  3. Educating patients and families on health management and discharge instructions
  4. Collaborating with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure continuity of care
  5. Maintaining thorough and accurate documentation in the Epic EMR system
  6. Responding promptly to changes in patients' conditions and acting accordingly
  7. Supporting patients through admissions, transfers, and discharges

This Med-Surg unit provides an opportunity to work with a variety of patient cases, enhancing your clinical expertise in multiple areas of nursing.

Qualifications
  1. Active RN license in New York (or compact license)
  2. BLS certification required
  3. 1-2 years of recent Med-Surg nursing experience
  4. Familiarity with Epic EMR systems is a plus
  5. Strong organizational and time-management skills
