UPMC Altoona hospital is a 400-bed tertiary care hospital that serves a 6-county primary service area of 350,000+ central Pennsylvania residents. The hospital is a level 2 trauma center and a thrombectomy capable interventional stroke center that serves an 18-county region from New York to Maryland. UPMC Altoona is a center for vascular surgery, cardiac surgery and interventional cardiology (including TAVR and Watchman procedures) and is a regional cancer center.
