Overview of the role: Senior Accountant - Audit Specialist

  • Receive financial packets from multiple properties spanning the prior 6 months
  • Go through in detail and review bank statements, GL reports, expense accounts, etc.
  • Researching discrepancies and familiarity with account reconciliation, trial balances, and subsidiary reports
  • Will need to reach out to other property management companies to request explanations if things are not corresponding correctly
  • Ability to dig in to documents with great attention to detail and ask questions when necessary
  • Ensure the financial records accurately reflex the business transactions of the organization and are in compliance with GAAP
  • Provide written reporting summary of findings for management after each property is reconciled and audited

Preferred Qualifications: Senior Accountant - Audit Specialist

  • Solid account reconciliation experience as well as familiarity working within the GL
  • Background working within property management is a plus
  • Self motivated and ability to work independently
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to stay organized are critical
  • Experience working with Excel and knowledge of pivot tables and VLOOKUP
