Smiles in Joplin is currently seeking a skilled and compassionate General Dentist to join our team and provide high-quality dental care to our patients in Joplin, Missouri. As a General Dentist at Smiles in Joplin, you will be responsible for diagnosing and treating a wide range of dental issues, promoting oral health, and delivering exceptional patient care in a welcoming and professional environment.

About the area:

Located along historic Route 66, in the southwest corner of Missouri, sits the city of Joplin. Residents enjoy the scenic waterfalls and swimming area at Grand Falls, shopping at Northpark Mall, and several restaurants and recreational areas. In addition, having a strong school system, home to Missouri Southern State University, attracts many to this thriving area.

Enjoy a fun weekend trip straight north to nearby Kansas City Known for its jazz tradition and barbeque, there is sure to be entertainment for the entire family. You’ll need to have

  • DDS/DMD degree, active and unrestricted license in state of Missouri
  • Clinical knowledge to practice comprehensive dentistry, including diagnosis and treatment of oral health issues
  • Desire to continue learning and grow clinical skills to meet needs of patients
  • Ability to become credentialed with dental insurance plans
  • The position will have access to minimum PHI necessary for performing job-related functions; regular HIPAA training, aligning with the specific role and responsibilities, will be required; and the individual will need to protect PHI and maintain data safeguards.

 

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to perform essential duties satisfactorily with or without reasonable accommodation. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential duties of the position
  • Prolonged periods sitting and standing
  • Must be able to lift and carry up to 45 pounds at times
  • Availability to attend virtual training sessions (or in-person) periodically throughout the year
