Purpose of Role :

Marex is seeking a Fixed Income Operations Associate who will be supporting the Credit, Rates, MBS, Repo, and Customer Clearing businesses with well established clients in both US Rates and Credit markets, and a growing MBS business. Support is primarily on Broadridge and Pershing trading platforms.

The Marex Operations (Ops) team is responsible for supporting full life cycle events for all fixed income products traded by the various businesses. While a large portion of the daily functions have been outsourced to the Broadridge Manager Products Team, Marex is ultimately accountable for all output, and thus supervising the Broadridge team’s work is imperative. While everyone on the team has a daily focus, everyone is cross trained as much as possible. Any single function performed within the team has minimum of two to three employees who can step in and comfortably perform the tasks(s). The team places a strong emphasis on its control framework ensuring controls are followed and always evaluated for improvement.

Responsibilities :

  • Work closely with the Front Office to ensure accurate processing of all credit and rates trading activity.
  • Monitor and resolve customer unaffirmed trades, street-side breaks, and failed trades.
  • Regulatory trade reporting for all Fixed Income trades (TRACE).
  • Research and resolve position breaks and allocation discrepancies.
  • Monitor Bank Cash Screens and GSCC/FICC Clearing for US Treasuries.
  • Work with onboarding and trading on setting up and managing customer setups across various platforms.
  • Support all aspects of Fixed Income Prime Brokerage activities – settlements, trade processing, and setup.
  • Configure the desk’s OMS for client accounts or trade routing (Bloomberg TOMS, NetX3360, Broadway).
  • Review daily controls across credit and rates vendor systems.
  • Process and track credit corporate bonds conversion requests.
  • Work closely with customers and Pershing to support corporate credit trading to resolve settlement and corporate action related breaks.
  • Monitor and resolve all applicable Fixed Income Seg Movements.
  • Ensuring compliance with the company’s regulatory requirements under the SEC, FINRA, NFA, CFTC and other applicable exchanges.
  • Adhere to the operational risk framework for your role ensuring that all regulatory or company determined parameters are complied with.

Experience

  • Three to Five (3-5) plus years’ experience in Financial Institution is preferred.
  • Understanding of trade life cycle events strongly preferred.
  • Experience supporting Fixed Income trading of corporate bonds and US treasuries.
  • Experience with Fedwire, DTCC clearing, and international settlements.
  • FINRA Series 99 preferred.
  • Working knowledge of one or more of the following systems: Pershing NetX360, Broadridge (Impact, FinPro, BPS), Bloomberg TOMS, FINRA TRACE.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Experience working in a regulated environment and knowledge of the risk and compliance requirements associated with this.
  • Bachelor's degree (BA)

Salary Range: $75,000 to $125,000 per year plus discretionary bonus
