Your role.

Your work will include, but not be limited to:

  1. Technical
  2. Managing and leading engagements by providing internal audits for a variety of engagements, including Enterprise Risk Management, Foreign Corrupt Practices Act, Gap Analysis, Internal Audit, Quality Assurance Review, SOX Compliance and Segregation of Duties
  3. Lead engagements and reporting assistance/analysis for engagements
  4. Identify and analyze areas of potential risk to the assets, earning capacity, or success of the organization
  5. Identify key risks and mitigating factors of potential investments, such as asset types and values, legal and ownership structures, professional reputations, customer bases, or industry segments
  6. Conduct statistical analyses to quantify risk, using statistical analysis software and econometric models
  7. Document, and ensure communication of, key risks
  8. Devise systems and processes to monitor validity of risk modeling outputs
  9. Develop and implement risk-assessment models and methodologies
  10. Plan, and contribute to development of, risk management systems
  11. Produce reports and presentations that outline findings, explain risk positions, and recommend changes
  12. Gather risk-related data from internal or external resources
  13. Participates in client meeting and site visits while interacting with top-level management to acquire and assess important information for engagement

Staff Development

  1. Delegates and manages the work of consultants in practice; monitors/maintains morale of engagement
  2. Conduct performance reviews and contribute to feedback for staff; follow up with staff relative to career development objectives/plan
  3. Identifies needs for practice resources and recruits the right staff giving consideration to technical competencies and culture
  4. Ensures appropriate distribution of projects to facilitate staff development while achieving project objectives and economic goals
  5. Ensures integration of individual career development plans with the practice plan

Practice Development

  1. Engages in client expansion and cross-serving with meaningful fees sold goal; recognizes importance of lead generation
  2. Review and lead proposals and engagement letter development
  3. Syndicates ideas and services to other practice developers
  4. Facilitates the development of practice development skills of others
  5. Understands Practice Development as team effort and is able to meaningfully orchestrate opportunities
  6. Solicits client referrals and converts referrals into Practice Development opportunities
  7. Presents new services to potential clients
  8. Develops a personal marketing plan
  9. Proactively defines client relationships that best meet the objectives of both the client and P&M
  10. Creates client champions for Plante & Moran Increasing level and types of services to clients
  11. Initiating "cross selling" business; demonstrates knowledge of firm services relevant to this client
  12. Begins to develop a wider understanding of client's business outside the scope of engagement by engaging with clients about how they are responding to current business trends and risks in their industry and see how we can help
  13. Builds a relationship with client decision-makers where ideas and new service offerings can be discussed
  14. Asks client for referrals to other business owners/decision makers
  15. Engages the client in conversation about business plan and strategy and identifies opportunities for involvement
  16. Begins to develops personal relationships with third parties associated with the client (e.g. banker, attorney, vendor, etc.) to facilitate referrals
  17. Introduces P&M staff in service lines which would benefit the client, including colleague partnering
  18. Coaches all P&M team members on cross serving skills and creates learning opportunities
  19. Establishes and monitors performance measurement metrics consistent with career development and practice plans
  20. Interacts with other practice areas including but not limited to audit, tax, and other management consulting service groups
  21. Enables and promotes the development of new practices

The qualifications.

  1. 8+ years of recent or current experience in an audit practice or the ERS practice of a public accounting firm or technical consulting
  2. Business experience in working with clients and managing multiple projects
  3. Proven practice development (sales) experience is required
