Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Infrastructure Project Manager with a strong background in facilities and site delivery to lead the successful execution of large, complex construction projects within our client's organization. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of infrastructure technology, have a proven track record of managing multiple high-impact projects, and demonstrate exceptional communication and executive presence. This role requires an individual with the ability to interpret architectural drawings, collaborate with technical teams, and ensure that IT infrastructure aligns seamlessly with construction and engineering requirements.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the delivery of large-scale infrastructure projects, specifically focused on facilities and site development, within a structured Project Management Office (PMO) environment.
  • Review, interpret, and mark up architectural drawings, including overall plans and Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) systems, to assess implications for infrastructure components such as low voltage cabling, equipment, and services.
  • Collaborate with technical and engineering teams to translate architectural changes into actionable infrastructure solutions, ensuring all design requirements are met.
  • Oversee and understand the permitting process related to new construction and the IT infrastructure required to support it, effectively communicating potential impacts to relevant stakeholders.
  • Manage relationships with general contractors, architects, and other business parties to ensure clear communication and alignment on project goals and technical impacts.
  • Utilize project management tools, such as Planview, to manage schedules, budgets, and resources, ensuring all projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget.
  • Coordinate and participate in calls with business units, general contractors, and architects to discuss project progress, address challenges, and provide updates on infrastructure solutions.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, including knowledge of certificates of occupancy, permits, and other construction-related requirements.
  • Manage and deliver up to 30 projects over the past five years, demonstrating expertise in infrastructure and facilities within large enterprise organizations.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to project teams, fostering a collaborative and results-driven work environment.

Requirements:

  • 7+ years of experience delivering large, complex facilities and construction projects in large enterprise companies.
  • Active PMP certification is required; ITIL knowledge is preferred.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field is preferred.
  • Detailed project management experience with a strong track record of success in infrastructure projects.
  • Experience in using enterprise Project Portfolio Management (PPM) tools such as Planview, MS Project Online (MSPO), ServiceNow, or Primavera.
  • General knowledge of VMware/HyperV and understanding of power distribution in IT closets (IDS/IES).
  • Ability to interpret and work with architectural, mechanical, and plumbing drawings, including reflected ceiling plans, to understand technical impacts and facilitate discussions with engineering teams.
  • General understanding of certificates of occupancy, permits, and construction regulations.
  • Experience with Procore is a plus but not required.
  • Strong executive presence with excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • IT or professional engineering background with a deep understanding of infrastructure technology.
