Meet the team:

The Systems and Solutions organization at Dexcom is searching for an experienced and motivated embedded software engineer with deep knowledge of cybersecurity to help improve our CGM’s end-to-end system architecture, design, development, security, and performance.

Where you come in:

  1. You will be involved in the research and design of hardware products and features by collaborating with various cross-functional teams and creating early-stage proof-of-concept prototypes.
  2. You will be part of the team responsible for the end-to-end performance of the CGM system that includes the transmitter, receiver, phones/watches, and third-party partner devices and services.
  3. You are the subject matter expert of embedded firmware sub-system design and cybersecurity architecture.
  4. You will work with cybersecurity engineers, software developers, system integrators, and testers to ensure the system works as expected and meets our QA standards.

What makes you successful:

  1. Strong coding skills in bare metal C programming for ARM microcontrollers.
  2. Proficient in using Make and GCC cross compilers.
  3. Knowledge of wireless communication protocols, particularly Bluetooth and BLE.
  4. Good understanding of secure boot and cryptography, including symmetric and asymmetric encryption methods and digital signing algorithms.
  5. Passionate about solving engineering challenges.
  6. Excellent communication skills to convey technical topics to a wide range of audiences.

Experience and Education:

Typically requires a Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline, and a minimum of 5-8 years related experience or Master’s degree and 2-5 years equivalent industry experience or a PhD and 0-2 years experience.

Your primary location will be a home office. You must live within commuting distance of your assigned Dexcom site (typically 75 miles/120km).
