We want you to apply now As a Registered Nurse, you will be responsible for the assessment of resident needs and the development and coordination of resident care plans. You will perform those nursing procedures requiring Registered Nurse designation, as well as some managerial tasks, with a customer service focus. What you will do in this role: * Supervises and provides nursing care according to physician orders and in conformance with recognized nursing techniques and procedures, established standards, and administrative policies. * Assigns tasks to unlicensed personnel. * Records all pertinent treatment information on assigned residents to include observations, treatments, and medications in Electronic Medical Records (EMRs); keeps Supervisor informed of any adverse changes in condition of same. * Makes periodic rounds of each assigned resident, notes needs and conditions, and reports adverse situations, as applicable, to the Supervisor and Physician. * Receives Physician orders and enters them in EMRs, as needed. * Maintains required medical records and administers medications and treatments according to State laws and regulations and standard nursing practices. Qualifications Qualifications: * Minimum of Associates degree requires. Bachelors preferred. * Required: Must be a Registered Nurse licensed by, and in good standing with, the Texas Board of Nurse Examiners. * Required: Must have current CPR and AED certifications * Required: At least one year of previous experience in a long term care setting. In 1970, the first of our two campuses opened in San Antonio. Air Force Village I was followed in 1987 by Air Force Village II. For decades, our campuses created a community for officers of the armed forces - a retirement lifestyle rich with camaraderie and the shared common bond. We began by providing support to the widows of those who have served, and that legacy continues. In 2014, we expanded our eligibility to embrace a wider range of retired seniors, including those from civilian careers. With this change, a new name Blue Skies of Texas - was added, and the campuses were renamed Blue Skies East and Blue Skies West. Continuing to offer modern residences and a range of senior-focused services and amenities, the Air Force Village legacy we cherish carries forward in Blue Skies of Texas.
