Job Summary and Qualifications

  1. Support Putnam Hospital’s hallmarks of service excellence and quality for all job responsibilities.
  2. Under the general direction of the Operations Manager, Medical Imaging, performs diagnostic C.T. examinations to ensure a quality examination.
  3. Under the general direction of the Operations Manager, Medical Imaging, perform routine radiologic diagnostic exams to ensure quality images.
  4. Identifies each patient and review patient’s chart and previous imaging exams for consistency (exam ordered/clinical diagnosis), and records pertinent data on the patient’s requisition.
  5. Assess patient condition and ensure patient safety through proper use of immobilization and support devices.
  6. Consistently deliver the best in customer service and patient care. As a team member, demonstrate respect, dignity, kindness and empathy in each encounter with patients, families, visitors and other employees.
  7. Always verifies physician orders prior to completing examination.
  8. Perform routine radiography according to the procedure manual allowing for any special instructions from the Radiologist or patient's physician.

What qualifications you will need:
  • Florida State Registered Radiologic Technologist
  • Graduate of Radiology Technology program
  • Registered ARRT (R) required; (CT) preferred
  • Minimum one year hospital experience
  • BLS to be renewed bi-annually

HCA Florida Putnam Hospital is a 99-bed acute care facility serving North Central Florida. Our hospital is located in Palatka, Florida. We serve the residents of Putnam County and surrounding areas. We have a cardiac catheterization laboratory and offer inpatient and outpatient rehabilitation services.
