Smithfield RI United States Fidelity TalentSource LLC Full time

Fidelity TalentSource is your destination for discovering your next temporary role at Fidelity Investments. We are currently sourcing for a Program Manager in Smithfield, RI.

The Role

As a key member of our digital content management team, you will be responsible for managing, editing, organizing, and storing various digital assets, including marketing copy, images, videos, icons, and articles. Utilizing multiple CMSs and tools, you will create and update content for Fidelity’s websites and mobile applications using existing CMS templates, HTML, CSS/JS, and custom queries. You will ensure all assets are organized according to digital asset management best practices, facilitating findability and maintaining organizational consistency.

In this role, you will lead publishing efforts on large, interdisciplinary projects and collaborate effectively with creative, business, and technology partners. You will provide technical direction to the team, offer analysis and advice to senior leaders, and develop plans to address capability gaps while monitoring resource planning. Your ingenuity and innovation will be crucial in solving complex functional and process problems.

Additionally, you will proactively lead complex projects and contribute to enterprise-wide initiatives. You will work closely with CMS developers and internal IT staff to ensure the CMS meets organizational needs. This internal customer service role requires proven skills in active listening, empathy, problem-solving, and communication.

The Expertise You Have

  • A technical mind, with an understanding of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and other web technologies
  • Experience/Interest in updating content and using personalization through an enterprise-level web content management system (CMS) including executing A/B and multivariate experiments
  • Dedication to the interactive medium: user functionality, information architecture, interactive patterns, responsive/adaptive design, SEO, accessibility, etc.
  • The ability to understand the flow of data/content through an information system
  • A natural aptitude for content personalization and A/B (or multivariate) content testing
  • A natural tendency to be curious, positive, and creative - you learn as you go, seek out opportunities, ask a lot of questions, and implement new knowledge quickly and easily in a technologically dynamic environment
  • A talent for independently resolving complex and convoluted technical issues
  • The ability to independently prioritize and shift deliverables based on need
  • A logical mind that can spot patterns, gaps, and repetitions in structured content
  • The ability to maintain a keen attention to detail, and work well under pressure
  • A strategic mind that is able to oversee large projects and coordinate with other content managers
  • Proven capacity to work both independently and collaboratively with product owners, stakeholders, designers, writers, and front-end developers
  • Good leadership skills—the ability to have vision, integrity, and empathy; to be a strong connector, communicator, and delegator; to understand people and how to motivate them.
  • The ability to help teammates prioritize and shift deliverables based on need

The Skills You Bring
  • Experience updating content through an enterprise-level web content management system (CMS)
  • Proven capacity to work both independently and collaboratively with product owners, stakeholders, designers, writers, and front-end developers
  • Familiarity with Agile, Scrum, and Kanban work environments
  • A personality that delivers amazing customer service in the face of chaos
  • The ability to execute simple HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and other web technologies
  • Communication skills that enable you to present complex concepts to non-technical (business) teams
  • The ability to leverage front-end coding technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and other web technologies) to enhance CMS-enabled digital experiences
  • Proven expertise in Agile, Scrum, and Kanban work environments
  • The ability to coach and mentor others

The Value You Deliver
  • Participate in the content delivery process, including creation, QA, updating, publishing, and management of content for Fidelity’s web and mobile digital experiences.
  • Proactively audit, diagnose, and resolve content issues in the CMS and production environments.
  • Create sustainable and optimal processes to streamline content workflow, tracking, and management.
  • Develop standards, systems, and best practices for content creation, distribution, maintenance, retrieval, and repurposing.
  • Independently manage multiple, complex projects from inception to completion, working with external developers and maintaining strong client relationships.
  • Translate stakeholder requests into actionable, detailed specifications.
  • Act as a liaison between creative, technical, relationship managers, and other internal groups.
  • Determine the root cause of technical incidents and implement scalable solutions.
  • Play an instrumental role in enhancing Fidelity’s digital experiences to drive new customer acquisition and improve customer satisfaction.
  • Ensure that Fidelity websites and applications maintain a consistent look, feel, and user experience.
  • Support SEO, accessibility, measurement, and QA efforts to ensure error-free digital experiences.
  • Work with technology and creative teams to innovate and test new functionalities.
  • Create an inspiring environment that stimulates creativity and risk-taking through an open communication culture.
  • Oversee day-to-day operations and improve team performance using metrics.
  • Set clear goals, delegate tasks, and manage priority initiatives, acting as a critical liaison within the group.
  • Mentor team members on leveraging multiple CMSs, tools, and code to build multichannel digital experiences.

The Team
This role will lead a dynamic team dedicated to transforming the way our company thinks about and uses content. Our team vision is to empower the organization to create best-in-class content experiences through innovative technologies, so enthusiasm and curiosity are required for anyone interested in joining us. We are part of a client-obsessed Owned Channel Marketing Team which drives business outcomes for the organization through an integrated, multi-discipline marketing approach that relies on learning and experimentation to evolve our go-to-market strategies in a cost-efficient manner. This team works with many different parts of the organization, including but not limited to: product owners, segment marketers, account/creative agency, technology, measurement and analytics, and channel marketers.
