Run Tester
Immediate opportunities are available for talented Run Testers who want to become part of the Johnson Controls team. Due to high demand, we are now hiring multiple RunTesters at our Wichita, KS manufacturing facility for ALL shifts.

What You'll Do:

* Check refrigeration units under actual operation against performance requirements.
* Read and understand Operational Method sheets (OMS) job instructions.
* Sets refrigeration units for operation and operates unit until stabilized and/or do troubleshooting when problems arise.
* Sets up testing equipment as necessary and makes a variety of predetermined checks such as compressor performance, high and low pressure cut outs, dry bulb temperatures and static pressures.
* Checks and tests component parts and subassemblies per Operational Method sheets OMS specifications.
* Makes out required reports and tags, such as rejection tags and check off lists, determines causes for and reports abnormal quality conditions.
* While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts and vibration, extreme heat and outside weather conditions.
* The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.
* Lifting 50 lbs. (occasional), Standing (constant), Walking (frequently), Bending (occasional), Climbing (occasional), Crawling (occasional), Reaching (occasional), Grasping (occasional), Sitting (frequently), Judgment (frequently).
* Follow safety rules, regulations, policies and procedures.
* Work from written and oral instructions, prints or sketches.

What We Look For:

* 3-6 months of inspecting production or machine operator experience minimum.
* Ability to lift up to 50lb.
* Great verbal and written communications skills.
* Attention to detail.
* Mechanical aptitude.
* Vision corrected to 20/20.
