Description

The Assistant Nurse Manager (ANM) is a professional Registered Nurse (RN) reporting to the unit RN manager who utilizes the nursing process to manage clinical and operational activities within assigned shift. The ANM is responsible for supporting the RN manager in planning, organizing, directing, and evaluating services of the unit and providing leadership presence for all shifts. The ANM is responsible for managing clinical caregivers and providing input to the RN manager for evaluation purposes related to performance.

The Perinatal Special Care Unit (PSCU) provides care to high-risk antepartum and postpartum patients in our 18-bed unit. We pride ourselves on providing the highest level of patient care. Required qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Graduate from School of nursing (BS, or BSN). Registered Nurses employed in this role prior to November 1, 2024 are encouraged to pursue the BSN degree but obtaining the degree will not be a condition of employment.
  • upon hire: Oregon Registered Nurse License.
  • upon hire: National Provider BLS - American Heart Association.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Recent clinical experience in an acute care hospital.
  • Charge Nurse/Relief Charge Nurse experience.
  • Leadership experience.
  • Shared Governance experience.
  • 5 years in nursing with experience in progressive leadership roles
  • 2 or more years in a progressive leadership role such as Charge RN, RN Supervisor, RN Educator.
  • Upon hire: National Certification from ANA or Professional Organization in relevant field of clinical expertise
