Experience:

• 24 months of role experience is required.

• 24 months of Medical Surgical / Telemetry Unit experience is required.

• 3 months of travel experience is required.

• 3 months of experience with Epic is required.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have a Vermont license or compact license prior to placement start.

• This role may require floating to additional units and locations

• Travel and Local candidates are eligible to apply for this role.

• COVID vaccination required to apply. Religious and medical declinations accepted.

• COVID booster required for onboarding. Religious, medical, and personal declinations accepted.

• Flu vaccination required for onboarding. Medical declinations accepted.

Additional Details:

Guaranteed Hour: 36

Assignment for 26-32 weeks

2 weekends a month;

Will float to other med/surg units;

Experience in large, teaching facility required.

Patient Population: Colorectal surgery, hepatobiliary surgery, general surgery, plastic surgery, dental, trauma, burns, renal transplant, draw labs from central lines, PICCS, wound care as well as assisting application and wound vac changes, ostomy care, PCA, epidurals, ketamine (setting up); heparin drips per protocol, blood transfusions.

EPIC experience from within the past 12 months is required and nonnegotiable.

Monday to Sunday;

No block schedules for any reason. Public Transportation is NOT accessible in this area, please ensure you have reliable transportation, personal vehicle or rental vehicle are strongly recommended. Vehicles should be equipped with all season or snow tires during the months of November – April.
