Our client is seeking a Senior Quality Engineer to join their global manufacturing organization. Reporting to the Quality Manager, the Sr. Quality Engineer is responsible for improving quality, safety, and manufacturing processes with a focus on eliminating process waste.

Responsibilities:

  • Design new processes, while also re-engineering existing processes
  • Instruct and train team members in process improvement techniques
  • Lead teams in applying the six sigma DMAIC methodology to eliminate waste
  • Assist in the identification and implementation of six-sigma projects
  • Ability to successfully manage large process improvement projects
  • Apply the basic process improvement tools within the six sigma DMAIC improvement model.
  • Design and enhance process inputs for the appropriate outcome
  • Perform process capability studies internally and externally
  • Analyze process constraints and develop standards to overcome constraints
  • Revise procedures for process improvement
  • Implement effective corrective and preventative actions
  • Accurately maintain company records and documents following policies and procedures
  • Coordinate and work cross-functionally across all departments within the organization
  • Execute plans in accordance with established time constraints
  • Complete additional advanced training as required

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Quality, Engineering, Business, Operations Management, or a related field
  • At least 5 years of experience as a Quality Engineer
  • Previous experience within a manufacturing environment
  • Strong understanding of process improvement methods
  • Experience leading continuous improvement activities
  • Excellent communication skills and experience using problem-solving techniques with computer software.
