We are seeking an experienced and motivated Director at our clinical research site in Orlando to lead the site’s Patient Engagement Team. This leader is responsible for ensuring a continuous and growing volume of new screens to support the site’s enrolling clinic trials. The Director will have oversight of community and event marketing, physician partnerships, patient recruitment, and prescreening.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Develop, implement, and maintain a variety of patient engagement initiatives and staff standards and procedures to increase patient participation in clinical trials and grow the number of screens per month.
  2. Work closely with the Site Director and clinic team to ensure smooth delivery of a high volume of well-qualified screens to the clinic.
  3. In collaboration with the Site Director, establish screening goals aligned with the site’s enrolling studies and the site’s internal enrollment goals, and motivate your team to achieve the goals.
  4. Improve organizational systems and processes to increase conversion rates of leads to prescreens, prescreens to screens, and leads to screens.
  5. Plan and lead the execution of day-to-day activities for community and event marketing, physician partnerships, patient recruitment, and prescreening.
  6. Initiate, develop, grow, and maintain relationships with local physicians and other community groups, increasing access to enriched patient populations and providing clinical research opportunities to the local community.
  7. Provide daily guidance to team members to work effectively together as a high-performance team and achieve results.
  8. Utilize performance metrics to identify areas of low performance and implement process improvements.
  9. Ensure participation of patients from a variety of racial and ethnic backgrounds to meet diversity goals for enrollment.
  10. Stay actively involved in the clinical trials landscape, especially regarding patient recruitment strategies and tactics, identifying trends and growth opportunities.
  11. Perform other duties as assigned.


SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the company’s policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; coaching and mentoring employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems. Responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of the Patient Engagement Team.

QUALIFICATIONS

  1. Bachelor’s degree required. Master’s degree preferred.
  2. CCRC, CCRP, and/or ACRP-CP (or equivalent) professional certification preferred.
  3. At least five (5) years’ experience in a management role, with demonstrable results in managing a team, improving processes, and delivering year-over-year quantifiable growth in key metrics.


PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  1. Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  2. Prolonged periods of walking, standing, speaking, and moving.
  3. Must be able to lift up to 30 pounds at times.
