As a Contract Hardware Engineer Mid., you will be part of the engineering department supporting the Water and Waste Systems (W&W) team. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Job Title: Contract Hardware Engineer Mid.
Location: Carson, California
Pay Range: $55/hour
What's the Job?
* Analyze customer requirements and validate them by analysis/modeling/prototyping or based on previous product performance
* Create and maintain hardware requirements specification and hardware interface control documents
* Performs SPICE analysis of circuits using Altium/OrCAD PSPICE tools
* Performs analysis and MATLAB/Simulink modeling to generate control algorithms
* Performs component selection & obsolescence management
What's Needed?
* Bachelor's degree in Engineering
* 10-15+ years of experience in high-complexity electronics design
* Experience with electrical circuit simulation tools such as PSPICE or MATLAB/Simulink for analog or digital control system design
* Experience with designing EMI filters and DC-DC converters, including incorporating active rectifiers, gate drives, and voltage/current sensors
* Understanding of communication protocols CAN, ARINC, SPI, RS-232 etc.
