Family Practice/Primary Care Nurse Practitioner

A Primary Care Nurse Practitioner (PCNP) provides comprehensive healthcare services, often serving as the first point of contact for patients in a healthcare setting. They focus on health promotion, disease prevention, and managing acute and chronic health conditions. The job description typically includes:
Primary Responsibilities:Patient Assessment: Conduct physical exams, obtain patient histories, and assess the health status of patients.
Diagnosis and Treatment: Diagnose acute and chronic conditions (such as diabetes, hypertension, and infections) and develop care plans.
Prescribing Medications: Prescribe medications and other treatments as needed, in accordance with state laws and regulations.
Patient Education: Provide guidance on managing chronic conditions, preventive health strategies, and lifestyle changes.
Collaboration: Work closely with physicians, specialists, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care when necessary.
