If you’re passionate about transforming people's lives and building platforms at scale, we would love to have you join our team as a Senior Platform Product Manager in the Tax Preparation & Planning area of TurboTax. This role requires a background in launching durable microservices and APIs, where you will drive requirements and roadmap for multiple tax prep and planning services that serve multiple product teams that rely on these platform capabilities. You will also help to define a plan to decompose monolithic applications into reusable microservices. These tax prep and planning capabilities help to deliver modern, AI-driven experiences for tax preparation, tax planning, data import, and more in the TurboTax products. You will empower other product teams and partners with reusable, self-service, durable, and globally ready platform capabilities that allows them to rapidly deliver new user experiences and business logic to drive business growth, and improve developer velocity.

The Senior Platform Product Manager at Intuit will be responsible for driving the strategic vision for the platform product team and managing key product initiatives. They will work closely with cross-functional stakeholders across the business to ensure timely, efficient and successful product launch and delivery. The Senior Platform Product Manager will also be responsible for maintaining technical excellence, domain expertise, and a deep understanding of the organizational strategy.

Responsibilities
  • Craft a platform product strategy in collaboration with the product development (PD), design, and architecture teams starting from customer requirements and understanding business goals.
  • Build a short- and long-term platform vision and roadmap in collaboration with Architecture, PD, and end customer product manager stakeholders.
  • Manage the product management process from backlog grooming, road mapping, including initiative and feature prioritization, in collaboration with colleagues from engineering and architecture. Drive the roadmap and execution from MVP to significant scale.
  • Manage upstream and downstream dependency requests and timelines.
  • Create product requirements document based on the strategy, dependencies, long-term vision and customer needs and review and refine it with the architecture and PD team.
  • Drive technology and functional maturity of reusable platform components.
  • Communicate and coordinate with the program management team.
  • Work closely with architects and engineers to design secure and high-scale solutions that are easy for Intuit product teams to integrate and deploy.
  • Take a data driven approach in defining success metrics, prioritizing requirements, and communicating plan, progress and success.
  • Experimenting with data to influence business outcomes.
  • Partner with program management to nail project execution and delivery by managing dependencies and plans across different services and teams.
  • Spend time with end-users to understand their pain points, gather insights on how we can solve some of those big customer problems in a delightful way.
  • Represent the team in presentations, meetings, customer and partner events internally and externally.
Minimum Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field. Equivalent experience will be considered.
  • 5+ years of experience in product management or related field.
  • Deep understanding of product management processes.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Track record and prior experience working in platform PM roles, and in delivering platform capabilities that serve enterprise needs.
  • Ability to learn quickly and with minimal supervision to become a domain expert.
  • Demonstrable technical depth in SaaS software development - ie reading code, architecture and design discussions - with strong engagement with engineering and architecture teams.
  • Demonstrated success in taking data driven approach and delivering impactful business results.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in program/project management, and success in managing complex program/project deliverables cross multiple teams.
  • Experience with Agile - being the product owner and establishing clear requirements through detailed epics.
  • Proven experience in defining big visions and inspiring teams to deliver new innovations and impactful products.
  • Track record of working closely with customers, partners, listening and taking a customer-focused approach to strategy and priorities - passion for the customer.
  • Excellent collaboration skills - leading execution across teams, influencing across organizations.
  • Domain knowledge of Income Tax and Tax Compliance areas is nice to have, but not required.
