Job specification
* Oversee daily operations of the labor and delivery unit, ensuring safe and effective patient care.
* Provide leadership, support, and mentorship to nursing staff, fostering a collaborative and professional environment.
* Develop and implement policies and procedures that align with best practices in maternal and neonatal care.
* Collaborate with physicians, midwives, and healthcare providers to ensure seamless communication and coordination of patient care.
* Monitor patient outcomes, ensuring compliance with hospital standards and regulatory requirements.
* Drive quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient safety, staff engagement, and overall performance of the unit.
Candidate requirements
* Minimum of 2 years of recent acute care leadership experience in Labor & Delivery.
* Progressive leadership experience preferred.
* BSN is required, and MSN or a master's degree in a related field is preferred.
* Texas State RN license or compact license accepted.
* National Specialty Certification or a plan to achieve it within 1 year of hire.
* BLS and ACLS certifications are required.
