Key Responsibilities\n

  • Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients' mental health needs, utilizing evidence-based methodologies to develop tailored treatment plans.\n
  • Facilitate effective communication among supervisors, staff members, family members, and external stakeholders to monitor and report on patient progress.\n
  • Maintain an organized schedule of appointments and home visits to ensure ongoing support and progress tracking for patients.\n
  • Coordinate necessary home visits for in-home observations, chart reviews, and data collection to inform client care strategies.\n
  • Participate actively in Interdisciplinary Team Meetings, contributing insights and strategies that align with best practices in mental health treatment.\n
  • Document patient progress regularly through monthly and quarterly notes, maintaining accurate records that facilitate effective treatment and compliance with ethical standards.\n
  • Develop training materials and organize staff training, ensuring team members are proficient in implementing the program plan and documentation processes.\n
  • Serve as a liaison with the broader community and mental health networks, providing resources and support to assist clients in achieving their personal goals.\n
Patient Population / Client Focus\n

As a Senior Licensed Mental Health Counselor at Mental Thrive, you will work with a diverse clientele, including adolescents, adults, and families facing various challenges. The center’s services extend to individuals dealing with trauma, substance use disorders, and relationship issues. Your ability to connect with clients from different backgrounds will enhance the effectiveness of therapeutic interventions and foster a sense of trust and safety within the counseling process.

Qualifications\n

  • A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Counseling, Psychology, or a relevant field is required.\n
  • Possession of active and unrestricted licensure as a Professional Counselor (LPC) in the state of Texas.\n
  • A minimum of 2 years' experience in a counseling role, with a strong preference for clinical settings.\n
  • Demonstrable knowledge of ethical and legal standards guiding mental health practice.\n
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to establish rapport and effectively collaborate with clients and colleagues alike.\n
Preferred Experience\n

  • Specialization in areas such as family therapy, couples therapy, substance misuse treatment, or trauma-informed care is highly desirable.\n
  • Experience working with Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems and a clear understanding of their applications in mental health settings is preferred.\n
