Sibley's campus is also home to Johns Hopkins Kimmel Cancer Center and The Johns Hopkins National Proton Therapy Center.
About this position:
The Nurse Educator (Nursing Practice and Professional Development Specialist) provides professional development and education to assist staff in preparing for contemporary practice and support in acquiring the evidence-based knowledge and skills needed to competently care for patients. She/he facilitates bridging the gap between research and evidence-based practice ensuring quality and safe patient care both directly and indirectly. She/he participates in the assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating activities associated with comprehensive unit-based and hospital-wide nursing educational needs.

Minimum Education and Experience Required:
- Licensure as a Registered Nurse (R.N.) in the District of Columbia which includes a certification and a separate CNS license.
- Master's degree in nursing or related discipline preferred or must be matriculated into a master's program within 9 months of employment.
- Board-Certification within specialty preferred or acquired within 9 months of employment.
- Minimum of 5 years of RN experience; critical care (ICU) experience required.
- Current CPR Certification required.
Salary Range: Minimum 47.93 per hour - Maximum 74.29 per hour. Compensation will be commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and responsibility.
In cases where the range is displayed as a $0 amount, salary discussions will occur during candidate screening calls, before any subsequent compensation discussion is held between the candidate and any hiring authority.
