Role : Databricks Architect

Key Skills : ETL, Databricks, delta, MongoDB

Location : San Diego, CA, onsite 5 days a week

Role Description

  1. Lead and manage a team of engineers and Sr engineers by providing guidance, mentorship, and fostering a collaborative work environment.
  2. Establish and maintain positive relationships with client stakeholders.
  3. Consult with client on project status, proposals, and technical issues and provide post-implementation support to them.
  4. Facilitate communication and collaboration between onshore and offshore teams, ensuring the successful design, development, and execution of the product/project/deliverables on time.
  5. Experience in POC development, Capacity sizing, Tool Evaluation.
  6. MUST Have
  7. Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  8. Ability to run ETL jobs in Databricks.
  9. Unity catalog with delta, MongoDB, regular S3 based parquet files.
  10. Delta format based S3.
  11. Ability to articulate pros and cons of delta format.
  12. Ability to run Databricks with AWS glue catalog.
  13. Monitoring of Databricks jobs.
  14. Operations related experience of Databricks jobs.
  15. Best practices of setting up nested ETL jobs.
  16. Scheduling of jobs in Databricks.
  17. Passing runtime parameters to ETL jobs.
  18. Handling experience in AWS in data engineering project.
  19. Ability to coordinate/work with team in India.
  20. Good to Have
  21. Experience in client facing role.

Qualifications : Bachelor’s Degree

Expected annual pay for this role ranges from $118,000 to $176,000. Based on the position, the role is also eligible for Wipro’s standard benefits including a full range of medical and dental benefits options, disability insurance, paid time off (inclusive of sick leave), other paid and unpaid leave options.
