Chemours is seeking an Environmental Intern to join our Minerals Enterprise team This position will report directly to the Environmental Manager.

Location: Jessup, GA

Hours: Full-time or part-time schedule, flexible to candidate needs

Term: 3-month assignment between May-August 2024 (i.e. 3-month assignment between May-August)

The responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to, the following:

* Work with staff to conduct environmental field sampling of wastewater, stormwater, and drinking water. Interpret data of field environmental sample results


* Assist with data entry and environmental metrics. Perform weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual compliance inspections and audits


* Assist with tasks for environmental compliance with Federal, State, and Local rules/regulations


* Complete required Environmental, Health and Safety training for the duties and hazards of the position


T he following is required for this role :

* Enrollment at an accredited college or university as a Junior or above at time of assignment


* Pursuing an undergraduate degree in Environmental Science or Engineering, Biology, or similar fields


* Familiarity with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Power Point


The following is preferred for this role :

* 3.0 GPA or above


* Technical Experience Preferred


* Participation in relevant activities , organizations, and projects beyond the classroom
