Cadmus Energy Transition Senior Analyst - Portland, Oregon

Cadmus seeks a Senior Analyst to join its Market Research and Customer Insights team. The successful candidate is expected to manage and conduct primary and secondary research on behalf of Cadmus’ energy clients (primarily utilities and administrators of energy efficiency programs). You will be responsible for managing project tasks, executing market research and analysis, and creating written and visual reports on the findings. This role will include research to evaluate existing energy efficiency and electrification programs to identify improvements, and to support the design of future programs.

Responsibilities

  1. Support and lead market research, program planning, and evaluation tasks.
  2. Support project management activities including budget tracking, invoicing, project planning, and resource management.
  3. Develop high-quality data collection instruments, including interview guides and surveys.
  4. Conduct phone interviews and manage online surveys with utility program staff, program participants, contractors, and other market actors.
  5. Analyze program, survey, interview, and other data to identify trends, synthesize research findings, draw conclusions, and develop actionable recommendations for client consideration.
  6. Actively and professionally communicate and coordinate with project teams, managers, and clients, in varying time zones; provide clear and consistent communications (oral and written) on projects and tasks and raise any concerns or issues.
  7. Develop clear, detailed reports and presentations of results, findings, methodologies, data sources, and actionable recommendations.
  8. Ensure all deliverables meet Cadmus’ standards and exceed client expectations.

Qualifications

  1. Between 5-7 years of experience managing or supporting research or evaluation projects that include both qualitative and quantitative techniques.
  2. Undergraduate or graduate degree in business, the social sciences, economics, or a related field; a master’s degree may substitute for 2 years of professional experience.
  3. Industry experience in energy efficiency, utilities, program evaluation.
  4. Experience designing and conducting social science research, including interviews, surveys, focus groups, and/or literature reviews.
  5. Strong critical thinking and analytical skills.
  6. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  7. Exceptional organizational and time management skills.
  8. Strong attention to detail.
  9. Proficient in Microsoft applications, including Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.

Preferred:

  1. Prior consulting or client-oriented work experience.
  2. Experience leading discrete tasks and full projects, specifically research projects.
  3. Business development (including proposal management and response) experience.
  4. Demonstrated analytical skills using statistical and analytical tools (e.g., Python, SAS, R, Excel).

Additional Information:

Candidates must be eligible to work in the United States as a U.S Perm Resident or U.S. Citizen.

The minimum starting salary for this position is $70,000. The actual salary may be higher and will be determined by several factors, including relevant work experience, education, skills, and market competitiveness.
