Job specification

* Lead and manage the nursing staff within the Burn Trauma ICU, including recruitment, training, scheduling, and performance evaluation.
* Oversee patient care activities within the unit, ensuring compassionate, patient-centered, and high-quality care delivery, particularly in burn and trauma cases.
* Manage day-to-day operations of the Burn Trauma ICU, including resource allocation, equipment maintenance, and inventory management.
* Collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care and optimize burn trauma care services.
* Serve as a key leader and responder during emergencies, providing direction and support to the team in high-pressure situations.

Candidate requirements

* Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required; Master's degree in Nursing (MSN) or related field preferred.
* Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Texas.
* Minimum of 5 years of clinical nursing experience in burn trauma or critical care, with at least 3 years in a supervisory or leadership role.
* Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Burn Life Support (ABLS) certifications are required.
* Certification in Critical Care Nursing (CCRN) or Burn Nursing (CBRN) is preferred.
