Compensation Range:

Anticipated Base compensation rate is in the range of $45.60 - $67.83 / Hour depending on qualifications and experience.

*12 hour shifts at Huntington Health are overtime-based (not a straight time rate for all 12 hours). Therefore, employees who work a full 12-hour shift will be paid their base rate for 8 hours AND overtime (1.5) for hours up to 12.

Expectations:

Responsible for coordination of care to meet identified needs of the unit. Initiates and transfers the management of patient care utilizing critical thinking and resource identification, linking and scheduling patients with required services, monitoring care delivery, advocating for the patient, and evaluating outcomes. Coordinate care across the health care continuum, and assists other team members with meeting individual patient needs. This position requires the nurse to work from 1100-2300 Tuesday through Friday. This position may require flexibility of hours.

EDUCATION:
Bachelor’s degree (BSN) required. Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) will be considered if enrolled in a BSN program with degree completion within 2 years of date of hire or date of transfer to an RN position. Diploma or transcripts on highest degree earned required.

EXPERIENCE/TRAINING:
Minimum three years in a Critical Care unit required; Trauma nursing experience required.
Must challenge and successfully pass the Basic Dysrhythmia course curriculum within 21 days of hire.
Basic computer skills/experience with computerized documentation systems required.

LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS:
Required:
Current unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license issued by California Board of Registered Nursing (BRN)
Current Basic Life Support Provider (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support Provider (ACLS) issued by American Heart Association
Current National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification within 30 days of hire/transfer

Preferred:
Current Critical Care Registered Nurse (CCRN)

SKILLS:
Cardiac Surgery and IABP experience.
Basic computer skills/experience with computerized documentation systems required.
