Looking for RN to be an evening manager to support a good nursing staff. Pay based on Experience. Smaller building with good surveys and census, join us in building a great nersing team.

As the ADON, you are the second in command of the nursing department. You will work closely with the DON to improve the quality of patient care and services provided by your team. In his/her absence, you will oversee the entire team ensuring quality care and compliance with all federal, state and local rules and regulations, as well as all policies and procedures.

Duties

  • Assist in training, teaching and monitoring the nursing staff
  • Manage clinical operations and develop care plans
  • Conduct patient rounds and address complaints
  • Monitor nursing staff, nursing activities and patient care

Additional Job Responsibilities

  • Mandatory attendance at morning meeting, followed by clinical meeting, then staffing. This is daily M-F
  • RAP-check MWF
  • Help cover when other nurse managers are on vacation
  • Be prepared when state survey occurs
  • Handle employee's disciplinary actions
  • Complete DON tasks when DON is on vacation/sick
  • Audit Med Carts
  • Assist with discharges
  • Incident/accident log
  • QI Tool
  • Ensure new chart audits are completed
  • Occasionally attend care conferences
  • Fall log
  • Nurse and STNA education
  • Attend meetings appliable to nursing
  • Assist with TBs for new employees
  • Handle resident concerns
  • Assist with monthly and annual logs
