Titan America LLC is seeking an experienced Engineering and Permit Manager to oversee successful efforts related to land development projects. This role is integral to managing the engineering designs and the coordination efforts for industrial development projects, including ready-mix facilities, manufacturing plants, and other infrastructure. Reporting directly to the Environmental Director, the Engineering ans Permit Manager will ensure project designs meet regulatory requirements and align with Titan America's commitment to safety, integrity, and excellence.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and support land development projects' engineering design.
  • Oversee the preparation of detailed engineering plans, including site layout, grading, stormwater management, and utility infrastructure.
  • Coordinate with internal teams, municipal agencies, and external stakeholders to ensure project designs comply with local regulations and codes.
  • Review and approve engineering designs, ensuring they meet technical standards and project requirements.
  • Track project expenses and timelines, providing regular updates to the team to ensure alignment with financial and scheduling goals.
  • Travel to job sites as needed to oversee engineering activities and collaborate with project teams.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of local permitting processes, regulations, and best practices.
  • Support the preparation and submission of permit applications for land development projects, including site plans, environmental assessments, and impact studies.
  • Ensure compliance with local zoning, land use, and environmental regulations.
  • Support the site plan approval process, including pre-application meetings, document preparation, and submission.
  • Coordinate with municipal agencies and stakeholders to expedite permit approvals.
  • Track and manage permit statuses, revisions, and approvals.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Urban Planning, or Engineering related field.
  • 5+ years of land development engineering experience, focusing on commercial and industrial projects.
  • Proficiency with AutoCAD, BIM software, and project management software.
  • Strong understanding of site development, including grading, stormwater design, and utility infrastructure.
  • Familiarity with the site plan approval process, environmental regulations, and local building codes.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Safety-conscious with a commitment to maintaining a safe working environment.
  • Willingness to travel to job sites as required.
  • Preferred knowledge and experience with city and municipality ordinances, building codes, and local regulations and restrictions.
