Outpatient Physical Therapist

- Performs and documents initial and ongoing assessments of patient's condition.
- Develops plans describing a treatment strategy, its purposes, and its anticipated outcome. Plan often includes exercise regimens at the clinic and at home to increase flexibility, strength, or endurance. May use various modalities to relieve pain and reduce swelling.
- Provides information regarding appropriate selection/use of adaptive equipment and support programs. Help to restore physical function, improve mobility, relieve pain, and prevent permanent disability.
- Determines patients ability to be independent and reintegrate into the workplace or community after injury or illness.
- Promotes mission, vision, and values of Intermountain Health, and abides by service behavior standards.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications Required- Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited school is required
- Current/valid state Physical Therapist licensure is required Basic Life Support (BLS) is required
- One (1) year related experience (preferably in a clinic setting) is required
Preferred- Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy is preferred
- Advanced Care Life Support (ACLS) is preferred To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements list must be representative of the knowledge, skills, minimum education, training, licensure, experience, and/or ability required. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
- Regular attendance to perform work on site during regularly scheduled business hours or scheduled shifts is required
- Knowledge of physical therapy principles, standards, and applications.
- Excellent interpersonal, customer service and communication skills.
- Highly organized and analytical.
- Possess a strong work ethic and a high level of professionalism.
- A team player who handles multiple projects simultaneously in a fast paced environment.
