We are seeking a Maintenance Specialist (Night Shift) to help us provide a clean and safe work environment for APL.  You’ll be joining a hardworking team of housekeepers who collaborate with our partners and provide an outstanding cleaning service with attention to details.  We strive to foster an environment of inclusion and partnership. As a member of our team, you will contribute to the overall success of the team and APL.

As a Maintenance Specialist ...

  • Respond to general request/ questions from APL staff and work with supervisor to resolve related
    concerns or challenges.
  • Conduct weekly inventory on cleaning supplies.
  • Assist zone supervisor on plan projects, task and upcoming training.
  • Daily one on one training sessions with staff on equipment and cleaning practices.
  • Performs non-routine custodial and general maintenance task such as cleaning and replace light
    bulbs.
  • You will maintain all cleaning equipment, supplies, and products ensure safe and sanitary storage
    of products
  • Notify floor tech of need for repairs of equipment or facilities; ensures equipment is clean and in
    working order.
  • Seek partner feedback and address opportunities/challenges related to housekeeping services
    and taking corrective actions to resolve any concerns.
  • You will need to adhere to health and safety policies and Lab's related practices
  • You will operate APL vehicles in the course of day to day operations

Qualifications

You meet our minimum qualifications for the job if you…

  • Have a high school diploma or equivalent training and experience.
  • Have a minimum of 5 years’ of demonstrated related work experience with flexible work schedule.
  • Are physically able to use commerical housekeeping equipment for extended periods of time.
  • Ability to lift up to 25 to 30 pounds.
  • Are able to reach, stretch, bend, and walk during daily routine, with the ability to stand for long periods of time.
  • Possess demonstrated strength in training and staff development.
  • Experienced with commercial cleaning equipment and supplies.
  • Are organized and able to build an independent cleaning schedule.
  • Are able to follow verbal and written directions in English.
  • Have customer service experience.
  • Ability to work Night Shift (8:00 PM - 4:30 AM) Sunday through Thursday and/or a flexible schedule
  • Possess a valid driver 's license if selected you will be subject to a Motor Vehicle Administration record check
