About the Medicine II Unit:

We are seeking a registered nurse to join our team at New Hanover Regional Medical Center's Medicine II unit. The Medicine II unit is renowned for its strong emphasis on teamwork, which is consistently improving. It fosters a culture of open communication and actively seeks feedback from staff to management, ensuring continuous growth and development. Moreover, the unit provides many opportunities for widening skill sets, boasting excellent staff who are enthusiastic about teaching and sharing their expertise. Qualifications

  • Associates degree in nursing
  • Current North Carolina Nursing License or Multi-State/Compact
  • Commitment to continuous growth and development
  • Enthusiastic attitude towards teaching and mentorship
  • One-year relevant experience, preferred

If your RN nursing license has been inactive, retired or lapsed for five years or more and you have not been licensed in another state during the last five years, successful completion of a Board approved refresher course is required prior to reactivating or reinstating your license. To be considered for current licensure status, you must apply for reinstatement within one year of completing the refresher course.

Responsibilities

  • Assessing patients' conditions and health needs.
  • Developing and implementing nursing care plans.
