Powerback is seeking an energetic and compassionate Speech-Language Pathologist to join Powerback Swallow Solutions’ team of SLP Endoscopists. This SLP’s primary job duty will be providing Flexible Endoscopic Evaluation of Swallowing (FEES) to the adult population in the post-acute care setting. 

 

This position will focus primarily on completing FEES in a set geography, so the ability to travel is required.  The clinician will primarily be completing FEES however, the SLP will also provide patient care in the post-acute setting with other diagnoses, as needed.  

 

Preferred Experience: 1+ years experience working with the adult population with dysphagia. Experience with FEES is preferred however, a strong candidate with a passion for dysphagia will also be considered. Training/competency will be provided through Powerback Swallow Solutions. Must hold CCC-SLP.

 

Training: Micro-FEES CEU with competency training, depending on experience provided by the company. Ongoing clinical support with other SLP Endoscopists as well as expert FEES consultants 

 

Requirements:

  • Strong passion for instrumental swallow assessment, specifically FEES

  • Interest in community marketing of FEES and the willingness to grow the program within the geography 

  • Must hold an active driver’s license with the ability for daily driving 

  • Excellent communication skills for collaborating with colleagues 

  • Willingness to assist with other evaluation and treatment of the adult population in the post-acute setting

  • Possibility to assist in the growth and support of developing future Endoscopists through CEU participation and competency/support on-site visits and training.

As a Speech Language Pathologist, you help patients get their power back. You are the person who can help people communicate, swallow, and work to diminish or remediate disorders or deficits. In doing this, you take responsibility for the effective and efficient delivery of rehab services, you design the plan, and work with patients to execute those plans.

Qualifications
1. A Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology, Communication Disorders, Communicative Disorders or similarly-titled area that is consistent and acceptable to the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association.
2. A Certificate of Clinical Competence from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) or be eligible to participate as an ASHA Clinical Fellow. We will also accept candidates who are eligible to obtain the Certificate of Clinical Competence.
3. Licensed, certified or credentialed, as required in the state of practice.
