Longview Regional Medical Center has an opening for a RN full time nights in our Medical side of our Med/Surg department We provide exceptional care for our patients and are looking for caring and knowledgeable team members to join us.  As a Registered Nurse at Longview Regional Medical Center, you’ll play a vital role in doing what you do best - providing quality care to our patients. Job Duties:

  • Evaluates assigned patients and plans, implements and documents nursing care
  • Assists physicians during examinations and procedures 
  • Performs various patient tests and administers medications within the scope of practice of the registered nurse
  • Promotes patients' independence by establishing patient care goals and teaching patients and families to understand conditions, medications, and self-care skills
  • Relies on experience and judgment to perform a variety of tasks and accomplish goals
  • May be required to float when needed by the hospital

Minimum Requirements:

  • Minimum of an Associate’s Degree in Nursing (ADN) from an accredited RN program
  • Current license to practice as a Registered Nurse (RN) in Texas, or license with a compact state required upon hire
  • Approved Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required upon hire
